A Programme on "Micro talk" in association with Care Club

The Chapter organized an event on "Micro Talk" by Care Club wing of the chapter on October 09th, 2015. The event was focused to disseminate the knowledge of general awareness. The event was conducted as a micro talk on the topics given on the spot. The best speaker was awarded with the certificate.

Distinguished Lecture Programme

The edifice of knowledge was brought out in hand by the "Distinguished Lecture Programme" It was an eye opening to the students wherein the guest speaker was called from United States, Dr.Bernard Allen Cohen, President & CEO of Professional & Ethics Committee of IEEE. He enlightened the students with ethical knowledge and discussed about various ethical rules to be followed. He taught the students not only to be just professionals but to be an ethical professionalist. He also interacted with the students on several ethical behaviors.

AZOLLA - CULTIVATION AND APPLICATIONS

In view of enhancing entrepreneurship initiatives, a training programme was organized by the IEEE-EMBS Student Branch Chapter (SBC 60891A) of Department of Biotechnology on 08.07.2016 in the aspects of cultivating "azolla", a protein-rich floating fern. Demonstration on azolla cultivation was given by Mr. M. Rajendra Kumar. R. K. Algae Project Center, Ramanathapuram. He elaborated the applications of azolla as animal feed, biofertilizer, food stuff for human consumption etc., IEEE-EMBS Members and Non-members, faculty members and Research Scholars attended the programme.
